Three years after the HIROSHIMA Armchair, Maruni and Naoto Fukasawa set out to create a chair that would offer the same level of comfort in a lighter, more accessible form. Achieving this balance between comfort, beauty, and affordability led to the use of molded plywood, opening a new direction for the MARUNI COLLECTION.
While its appearance is quiet and understated, the Roundish Chair is defined by meticulous craftsmanship. From the carefully calculated curves of the backrest to the rounded chamfers and three-dimensional leg joints, every detail reflects the precision of Maruni’s woodworking.
As its name suggests, the Roundish Chair is defined by its gentle curves. Reflecting on its comfort, Naoto Fukasawa observed that the embracing backrest, softly contoured seat, and subtle incline work together to create a reassuring feeling of being gently held.
Offered in oak, beech, and walnut, with wooden, upholstered, and fully upholstered seat options, the Roundish Chair adapts to a wide range of interiors while preserving the same carefully considered comfort.
