Precision melting and measuring equipment enable their artisans to maximize their already exceptional manual finishing abilities. Their patented method enables customized color blending. Bomma’s commitment to modern design, exceptional glass quality, and meticulous craftsmanship has earned them numerous honors and global recognition. They currently enjoy a good market position and are engaged in a number of fascinating new projects and collaborations.
BOMMA at Houston | Czech Glass Lighting Since 2012
Bomma manufactures handcrafted sculptural glass lighting in Světlá nad Sázavou, Czech Republic. Jiří Trtík founded Bomma in 2012 after famous Czech glass factory Světlá closed operations following 100 years of production. Trtík established Europe's most modern glassworks hiring skilled craftspeople and engineers previously employed at the closed factory. The company produces 6 tons of refined extra-clear crystal daily using combination of traditional hand-blowing techniques and purpose-designed robotic technology.
Bomma Manufacturing and Glass Technologies
Bomma operates glassworks built in Světlá nad Sázavou featuring state-of-the-art facilities and traditional hand-blowing capabilities. The company employs 300 team members including master glass artisans capable of hand-blowing crystal in monumental sizes. Manufacturing combines centuries-old Bohemian glassmaking traditions with contemporary technologies developed in-house.
Bomma pioneered robotic glass grinding allowing creation of unique shapes and decorations with unprecedented precision. Purpose-designed machinery enables otherwise unachievable customization and color-blending techniques. The production facility supplies bespoke crystal for international luxury brands and produces special pieces impossible to create at partner glassworks.
