Desalto manufactures contemporary furniture near Lake Como in Cantù, Brianza region, Lombardy. Four Orsenigo brothers founded Desalto in 1990 transforming family business specializing in metalworking into modern design-oriented furniture manufacturer. The name Desalto derives from "design alto" meaning "high design" representing company philosophy and production standards.
