Exploring the Hinode Collection by Vincent Van Duysen
"Hinode" means "sunrise" in Japanese.
It suggests a beginning — a quiet emergence of light, and the start of a new collaboration between Vincent Van Duysen and KOYORI.
Developed from an architectural perspective, Hinode treats solid wood and structure as spatial elements. Each piece is shaped with a clear overall outline, brought together through continuous curves. Subtle chamfering, three-dimensional surface changes, and oval-shaped legs give the solid wood a sense of depth and a calm, robust presence.

Across the collection, gently shifting profiles, refined transitions, and carefully shaped volumes form a unifying design language. In the tables, this language appears in the subtly changing tabletop edge and the wooden underside support, allowing the structure itself to become part of the expression.
At the same time, the chairs carry the architectural clarity of the Hinode Collection in a more compact form. The oval-shaped legs, softly rounded seat, and gently embracing backrest create a quiet continuity between structure and comfort.
