KOYORI: PRODUCT STORY: URIBO STOOLS Vol.2

GamFratesi’s product designs often draw inspiration from nature, as seen in many of their creations. For KOYORI, the design duo have designed products with references to a cat, such as the Miau series, and to branches and leaves in the Edaha chair. This time, the Uribo stools—Uribo meaning baby wild boar in Japanese—continue this nature-inspired approach. GamFratesi note, “for us, it is natural to connect these products and design with nature. Wood itself is a natural material. We can give the product a personality by shaping them into different designs.”

Like classical, often primitive stools, the Uribo stools are available in two heights. Featuring clean lines and a simple aesthetic, they are versatile additions to any interior. The straight edges give a modern touch, while the use of the manufacturer’s established techniques ensures both quality and durability. The legs have an expressive simplicity, elevating the stool’s overall beauty.

Perfect for use alongside a sofa or as standalone seating, the stool serves as a curated accent that enhances any living space. With its impeccable quality and thoughtful design, it reflects the manufacturer’s rich history and showcases the excellence of their craftsmanship.

“We believe the stool reflects both Japanese and Danish design and craftsmanship,” GamFratesi add. “Our aim was to capture the essence of these traditions and express it through a stool that is both functional and beautiful. Though it’s a small item, it’s something we truly love.”
