As part of the annual activity of updating solutions and compositions, carried out by the company alongside its Art Director Piero Lissoni, this year’s focus is primarily on the System book shelving and equipped wall system. Thanks to new technologies, the traditional side-panel system has undergone an evolution, and its dense grid has been thinned out to give life to real wooden tapestries on the wall.

One of Porro’s most beloved pieces, the Ferro table by Piero Lissoni, was selected for the “Italian Design, from Classic to Contemporary” installation by Ferruccio Laviani which unfolds in Bloomingdale’s sixth-floor Home/Furnishing department from 5th to 29th September.
Porro is participating in the sixth edition of the Lake Como Design Festival, scheduled from September 15 to 22, 2024. The Spindle chair has been selected for the collective exhibition “The Form of Lightness”, at Palazzo del Broletto, piazza Duomo: representative of the 2000s, it embodies the quest for extreme lightness in both design and material pursued by its designer, Piero Lissoni, highlighted by the “shells” of the seat and backrest, made of curved wood.
