Minotti Daylight seating system
The Daylight seating system by GamFratesi was shaped by the idea of an intimate and cosy alcove for open air living. Each element carries a distinctive identity strong enough to live independently as a centrepiece, while the full range spans sofas, a loveseat, armchairs, a sunlounger and ottomans across two seat depths. A companion family of coffee tables topped in Ceppo di Gré® stone completes the offer for contemporary exterior domestic landscapes.
Description
Design Inspiration & Philosophy
GamFratesi worked from the image of a vibrant, enveloping fan to shape the curved teak frame of the backrests and armrests. This gesture, at once architectural and organic, immediately communicates relaxation. A design that conveys the same comfort and appeal as interior furnishing proposals, Daylight brings genuine warmth to garden spaces through its combination of natural teak, Ceppo di Gré® stone and weather resistant woven polypropylene cord in six colour options.
Upper Frame, Cord & Teak Base
The upper frame in tubular stainless steel carries a bronze colour epoxy powder coat with glossy anti fingerprint finish, clad in woven 8 mm Ø Taslan polypropylene cord. Bronze colour aluminium anchors with DELRIN® spacers connect the upper frame to the weight bearing teak base, which is 40 mm thick, crafted on CNC machines and assembled at 45 degrees with finger joints reinforced with dowel pins. Woven elastic webbing beneath is UV resistant and built for exterior use.
Feet, Swivel Bases & Sunlounger
The system rests on tubular stainless steel feet clad in natural finish teak, with decorative bronze colour aluminium ferrules at each end and adjustable black SEBS glides beneath. The round armchair and loveseat use a circular stainless steel swivel base in bronze finish, providing 360 degree rotation on polyamide castors. The sunlounger features a backrest reclinable to several heights through a snap in mechanism with a dove grey melange polypropylene cord for adjustment.
Cushions & Weather Performance
Seat and backrest cushions combine high resilience polyurethane foam with water repellent eco friendly viscose fibre, enclosed in water repellent polyester slipcovers with weather resistant thread and zippers throughout. Cushion covers are fully removable for washing and storage. Optional backrest cushions in 75×50 cm and 65×50 cm, plus square and rectangular scatter cushions, add comfort and personalisation across every configuration.
Coffee Tables: Ceppo di Gré® Stone
The Daylight coffee table family shares the same cylindrical teak legs and bronze colour aluminium ferrules as the seating, creating a coherent material language across the full arrangement. Tops are in Ceppo di Gré® stone, a natural ornamental stone typical of Lombard architecture, 15 mm thick, filled and honed with stain resistant treatment. Tables are available in four sizes, from low slab forms to the taller 60×63 cm side table format.
Available Cord Colours
Six cord colours are available to suit a wide range of exterior settings and orientations:
– Blue, a cool considered tone for coastal or contemporary garden settings
– Moss, a muted green that settles naturally against planting and foliage
– Rust, a warm terracotta note with rich autumnal depth
– Sand, a pale neutral for light, open terrace environments
– Teak, a warm brown that echoes the natural teak of the base and feet
– Dark brown, deep and grounded for formal or dramatic exterior compositions
Perfect For
– Gardens where each seating piece is intended to read as an individual design centrepiece
– Covered terraces combining the sofa, loveseat and armchair in a single cohesive composition
– Spaces where Ceppo di Gré® stone coffee tables anchor and frame the seating arrangement
– Exterior oases of a relaxed but architecturally considered character
– Designers seeking strong material coherence across frame, woven cord, teak and stone
– Projects that carry the same quality standard outdoors as the Minotti interior range
Daylight makes the case that exterior living deserves the same considered material quality and design depth as any room indoors, with each piece earning its place in the landscape.
