Minotti Connery sofa
The Connery seating system has a contemporary and strong architectural appeal with clean lines that evoke the Mid-Century American spirit. Its exquisite aesthetic and design are immediately eye-catching, combining fine materials and sophisticated details to add a touch of couture. This seating system is highly versatile in terms of composition and material combinations, and it features a distinctive personality showcased in the original square and round chaise-lounges.
Description
The base of the system exudes geometric rigor, creating an interesting contrast with the softness of the seat. The seat is designed as a single cushion with light stitching defining its width, while the backrest and armrest are covered in channeled goose down padding. The backrest and armrest form a single volume with a 45° split in the corner.
In addition to the fabric covering, the padded structural base can also be covered with leather strips crafted using the same technique used in luxury leather goods. The headrests and elegant “C”-shaped Flap surfaces seamlessly blend into the seating elements, adding vibrant rhythm to the compositions.
The structural base is elevated from the ground on thin blades in extruded aluminum with a Brandy polished varnished finish, giving the sofa an appealing and airy look reminiscent of the metal parts of trunks and suitcases.
The flap shelves mirror the strip design of the structural base and provide functional surfaces for placing objects. Covered in leather or moka ash veneer, they harmonize with the textures of the covering.
The same method used to create luxury leather luggage is used to create the leather bands that make up the structural base. These bands are stitched together and joined by straps. This high-end leather goods concept also inspires the freely adjustable headrests.
This well-structured and customizable range offers many different compositional options, including longer square chaise lounges and circular elements that can be positioned near the sofa like atolls.
