Description

The innovative design created by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 is structured around a suspended foundation, a sleek solid line covered in leather, fabric, or both, serving as a support for the substantial volumetric padded components. In line with Marcio Kogan’s design principles, the modular seating system Horizonte embodies a precise architectural concept: a strict form elevated seven centimetres above the floor by a recessed base in matte black varnished metal, creating a unique sense of suspension for the sofa. The upholstered elements – seats, backrests, and armrests – are positioned on this platform, resembling large cushions with striking dimensions and a distinct character.

These modules are characterized not only by their size but also by their remarkable softness, maintaining a defined formal aesthetic despite their inviting sink-in quality. The comfort is ensured by an advanced technology utilizing pocketed springs within various-density polyurethanes, preserving the shape memory and allowing the seat to revert to its original form, adapting to the user’s contours.
