Minotti Elas “Cord” Outdoor

The Minotti Elas “Cord” Outdoor, designed by Marcio Kogan and Studio MK27 as part of the 2026 Collection, extends the Elas family into exterior environments. Originating from a deep sensitivity to natural materials and paying tribute to what Minotti describes as the feminine universe, its vision, composed strength and ability to balance rigour and sensitivity, the collection comprises a bergère with a leaf-shaped headrest, armchairs in both high and low backrest versions, and a footstool, unified by a teak structure and woven fibre surfaces in two natural colour tones.

Design Concept

Kogan’s approach to the Elas Cord Outdoor maintains the same formal clarity and material intelligence that defines the indoor range, while adapting everything to the demands of permanent exterior use. The result is a design expression articulated through proportion and formal clarity, where teak, woven fibre and Titanium travertine each performs its own structural and expressive role. Minotti positions the collection for terraces, gardens and open-air spaces of varying scale, where form, light and design integrate with balance and continuity.

Teak Frame & Woven Fibre Surface

The structure is formed entirely in teak, conveying solidity and precision while expressing the inherent quality and durability of the timber. The backrest and seat are shaped by a woven fibre with a wicker effect, available in Mud or Honey tones: a dense, controlled pattern that lightens the visual volume of each piece, filters light through the surface and introduces genuine tactile depth to the whole. Minotti notes that this weaving is not merely decorative but an integral part of the architecture, defining its rhythm and profile throughout.

Titanium Travertine Armrest Insert

A Titanium travertine insert is recessed into one of the wide armrests on each piece: a detail that introduces a mineral note into the dialogue between teak and woven fibre. Minotti describes it as an ideal surface for placing a drink during moments of relaxation, but its role is as much aesthetic as practical, reinforcing the contrast between the two natural materials and adding a third surface register to the composition. The contrast between teak, woven fibre and travertine creates what the brand calls a harmonious composition in which each surface expresses its own inherent quality.
