Minotti Lilliam armchair & little armchair collection

The Minotti Lilliam, designed by Hannes Peer and introduced as part of the 2026 Collection, originates from a bold formal gesture: two inverted Y-shaped solid wooden elements that run through the piece as a structural matrix, defining both its architecture and its rhythm. From these, a leather-upholstered armrest emerges, finished with double stitching that signals artisanal precision throughout. The result is a design language of graphic purity and formal simplicity that Minotti describes as masterfully expressing an elegant, timeless sense of form.

Design Concept

Peer conceived Lilliam as a process of formal reduction and simplification, where each component is pared down to its essence without conceding on quality. The armchair, dining little armchair and lounge little armchair all share the same architectural matrix, expressed through different proportions and postures. Each version carries a finely leather-upholstered shell finished with double perimeter stitching that traces the profile with what Minotti calls sartorial care, fitting comfortably in both contemporary and classical environments with a clear and commanding presence.

The Y-Shaped Wood Element & Seat Construction

The two inverted Y-shaped solid wooden elements are the defining structural and visual feature of Lilliam. They run through the piece as a formal matrix, from which the leather-upholstered armrest naturally extends. The slightly inclined seat is formed by the meeting of two components joined at a 45 degree angle: a construction solution that combines structural refinement with comfort, supporting the body in a controlled balance. At the junction of these two components, a sartorial finish marks the intersection, transforming a construction detail into a subtle decorative feature. Seat and backrest cushions integrate seamlessly into the shell that holds them.

Collection Variants

The Lilliam family comprises:

– Armchair, solid wood Y-shaped frame, leather-upholstered shell with double perimeter stitching

– Dining little armchair, same structural matrix and shell specification

– Lounge little armchair, lower height, more relaxed seating posture

– Seat inclined at 45 degree joint with sartorial finish at intersection

– Leather upholstery with double stitching on armrest and shell perimeter throughout

Perfect For

– Living rooms where a graphic, structurally expressive armchair anchors a leather-focused interior

– Dining rooms that call for a little armchair with strong formal identity and artisanal leather detailing

– Interiors where natural solid wood and fine leather are the primary material conversation

– Clients who prefer an armchair where the structural logic is visible and deliberate rather than concealed

– Designers specifying Hannes Peer pieces across multiple categories within a single interior

– Both contemporary and classical environments where a timeless, resolved seating form is required

Lilliam reduces the armchair to its essential structure and then refines every element within it: two Y-shaped forms, one sartorial stitch, three seating configurations. Formal economy at its most direct.
