Minotti Emmi “Cord” Outdoor armchair
The Emmi “Cord” Outdoor armchair by Hannes Peer is the companion piece to the Emmi sofa, carrying the same 1970s influenced character and generous proportions into a single seat format. At 97 cm wide, it pairs a slender tubular stainless steel frame clad in woven polypropylene cord with soft removable cushions, and rests on varnished stainless steel tips matched to the frame finish. An 88 cm footstool is available as an optional addition.

Design Inspiration & Philosophy
Hannes Peer designed Emmi for interior living and in adapting it for garden use he kept its essential qualities intact: the continuous sinuous line between seat and backrest drawn by the original base, the visual lightness of the slender frame, and the deep inviting proportions. The armchair concentrates those qualities into a piece that stands well as a standalone garden chair or within wider exterior arrangements alongside the sofa.
Frame & Taslan Cord Construction
The tubular stainless steel frame in matt Ecru, matt Dark Brown or matt Bronze carries a woven 8 mm Ø Taslan polypropylene cord across the seat and backrest. The Taslan process, an air jet weaving and texturisation technique, produces a cord with a tactile, durable surface well suited to weather facing exterior use. Each cord colour is coordinated with its matching frame finish, giving the piece a clean, unified reading at every angle.
Cushions, Fixings & Base Detail
Seat and backrest cushions combine high resilience variable density polyurethane foam and viscose fibre, enclosed in water repellent polyester covers that guard against moisture. All fixings, zippers and thread are fully weather resistant. The seat and backrest cushion attaches to the frame using teak frogs closures and the full cushion cover is removable. Protective adjustable polyethylene glides at the base are coloured to match the frame finish throughout.
